While a lot has changed over the last few years, some things never will. Volunteering is an act of good citizenship. And from coast to coast to coast, people – like you – want to help themselves, their families, their friends, and their neighbours thrive – while feeling connected and supported.
Your contribution makes you part of a new participation movement by helping us set the stage for a National Volunteer Action Strategy. Talk to your MP, send a letter to your local paper or online publication, organize local volunteers, and help raise awareness. We can do lots, but we need to do it together.
Check out this engagement toolkit from our friends at Results Canada! Their suggestions and practical advice cut across issue areas and are very helpful for writing an op-ed, a letter to the editor, or post on social media. Through Advocacy Accelerator, Results Canada also offers advocacy training that helps non-profits learn more about advocacy and level up their advocacy efforts. Thank you, Results Canada!
